Alex Craig is an award-winning director and cinematographer best known for the Vice series Abandoned and Post Radical, as well as cult feature film Machotaildrop.


Growing up in rural Scotland during the late 80s and early 90s, by necessity Alex learned to do things the hard way, and this has surely shaped his ethos as a filmmaker. Often preferring a minimalist approach to his productions, he maintains a keen eye for moments of stark naturalism combined with the fantastic and magical. Today he continues to develop his craft and philosophy, traversing effortlessly between narrative and documentary film.

Over his 18-year career, Alex has created projects for clients including Vice, MTV, BBC, Dazed & Confused, Red Bull, Poler, Canon, and Nike.

He currently lives in Vancouver, BC, with his wife and two sons.
